On Monday 2/23/2026 I placed an order for a hot sausage on French and a cheese burger on bun and two small snowballs. However when i got home to enjoy my hot sausage poor boy i notice something wasn’t right so i open the hot sausage and to my surprise where is the meat for the amount of money being charge this can’t be the right sandwich, it was! Sadly i won’t be ordering from here any more. More bread than meat..

The ladies were very nice and shallow great hospitality, but I was very disappointed in the shrimp boy. The bread was hard and it had no Mayo, just a very little bit and it was just dry. The stuffed, bell pepper was okay , definitely was not what I was looking for

I ordered a stuffed bell pepper plate with Mac and cheese, potato salad, and peas. It came with a dinner roll. The best part of the plate was the dinner roll and the peas because I was starving. I took a bite of each of the other things on the plate and just stopped eating. The bell pepper is so sour, I immediately lost my appetite. It’s definitely spoiled. The Mac and cheese is dry and doesn’t have a taste. This is also the greenest potato salad I’ve ever seen. Maybe just a snowball and nachos next time.

I am not from NOLA and it was my first time at Red Rooster. The service was great, southern hospitality at its finest. I ordered a bit of everything. I ordered Two snowballs Mardi Gras and Strawberry with condensed milk. They were both delicious and they came with a large top. I also ordered Fried fish that was seasoned to perfection, fried well, and it was juicy with a nice crunch. As I only ordered the fish it came with a Hawaiian roll. Best combination hands down. Double cheese burger combo fully dressed With a side of French fries. The burger was seasoned well and the toppings were perfectly topped, tossed on not sloppily. Presentation was everything. Lastly, I ordered the shrimp yetcamein the broth was seasoned well and the shrimp was cooked perfectly, not over cooked. The noodles were a little too much for the small soup I had. It over powered the dish and if I could get it with less noodles next time that would be all that I would change. I highly recommend giving Red Rooster a try. You will most certainly get your monies worth.

Today August 1,2026 i received the worst smelling shrimp on bun sandwich, my daughter went to go pick it up and when she brought it back to the car it stunk up the whole car , I thought my baby pooped on hisself , I even went to the car wash bc I thought It was something in the car , I couldn’t believe it was the sandwich smelling like tht , I didn’t want to believe it bc I was so hungry, we just left cool zoo , i tried to bring it back but they were closed, I PROMISE I WOULD NEVER 👎 EAT FROM THEM AGAIN, i tried to give the sandwich to a street dog and he started barking lol 😂, iam done with them ✌🏾✌🏾
