Worth the wait! Yes, their snowballs cost twice what other stands charge. Yes, their snowballs are fluffier and taste better. Twice as much? Try it and see for yourself Today I had watermelon and ginger. Neither were artificial. Real watermelon and real ginger. Everyone in my group said how amazing theirs tasted—cherry, sno-bliz, vanilla, and sweet tea. One kid even asked what that was at the bottom of the vanilla bottle—a real vanilla bean pod floating around. They’ve been around 86+ years. Equipment built by the original owners in the 1930s. You definitely should visit!

Such a cool concept and this was a really nice place to go on a super hot day here in New Orleans! Good: - Huge portion sizes - for $6 you get more ice cream than you can eat for 1 person - Fast service, and the staff were so nice! They also let us try the flavors before finalizing our choice - The strawberry shortcake flavor was delicious. I did feel like the shaved ice kind of tasted like ice cream and not just a typical shaved ice. It's creamy for some reason but it's just ice! Bad: - There's limited outdoor seating so you end up just standing around unless 1 of the benches free up Overall this was such a cool experience! I liked how we found this place on one of the hottest days in New Orleans and it automatically cooled us down.

Saw this on Samantha Brown’s show. I wasn’t sure if we were headed the right way because it’s amidst a residential area. There was a line when we arrived. I loved the atmosphere with all of the old decor and original signs and machines! Such a fabulous little place with delicious treats and friendly staff!

So many flavors to choose from!! I got the pandan with condensed milk topping-- loved it! I think my bf got the green apple with idk what else.. He loved it tho! Great on a hot summer day!

I got the Satsuma with ice cream in the middle and it was delicious. I'm not sure I would have stopped here based on the outside appearance if it wasn't so highly recommended, but I'm glad I did. Clearly a hidden local gem, worth not missing.
